Christina collects stamps. She has 47 stamps in all. She has 20 stamps from Europe. The number of African stamps is 2 times the number of Asian stamps. How many stamps from each of these three continents does she have? Use reasoning to write this as a numerical expression

Answer:

Europe=20 , Africa=18 , Asia=9 .

Explanation:

If you do 47-20=27, you are still left with 27 stamps. So then you are going to divide 27 by 3 since there are three continents, and then you equal up with 9. So from there you will do 9 times 2 which is 18, and that is doubled of Asia's which is 9. SO 20+18+9= 47! Glad I could help!
