Answer:

y < 1.1

Explanation:

We are given the following inequality and we are to solve it for y:

− 4.2y + 2.1 > − 2.52

Rearranging the given inequality by taking the constant at other side and changing its sign from positive to negative to get:

− 4.2y > − 2.52 - 2.1

Subtracting the two values to get:

-4.2y > -4.62

Dividing by -4.62 from both sides:

y < 1.1

Since the negative signs have been cancelled and changed to positive, therefore, the inequality will also be reversed.
