After the World War I ended, Germany was put in a very bad position. The country was restricted in pretty much everything, and that led to lot of social and economic problems. The German people were poor, suffering, so understandably they revolted. Hitler presented himself as savior, and the desperate people believed him, so they started to back him up. The president of the Weimer Republic saw that he is losing the power, and one way or another Hitler will gain control, so he acted and appointed Hitler as president. Once Hitler gained control of the country he showed his real face, making Germany a Nazi country, being brutal toward everyone that opposed him, and engaging into military conflicts.
