For this case, we must say how much each piece of cable measures, by dividing the original cable into 12 equal pieces.

So:

\frac {6} {12} = \frac {1} {2} = 0.5\ meters

Thus, each piece will be 0.5 meters long, after having been cut.

Knowing that:

1 meter equals 100 centimeters, we make the following rule of three:

1 m --------------> 100 cm

0.5 m ------------> x

x = \frac {0.5 * 100} {1}\\x = 50\ cm

Thus, each piece will have 50 centimeters.

Answer:

Option B
