Which point of view is used in this excerpt from “Eve’s Diary” by Mark Twain?

We are getting along very well indeed, now, and getting better and better acquainted. He does not try to avoid me any more, which is a good sign, and shows that he likes to have me with him. That pleases me, and I study to be useful to him in every way I can, so as to increase his regard. During the last day or two I have taken all the work of naming things off his hands, and this has been a great relief to him, for he has no gift in that line, and is evidently very grateful.

first-person point of view

second-person point of view

third-person limited point of view

third-person omniscient point of view

Answer:

The answer is the first option: first-person point of view.

Step-by-step explanation:

"Eve's Diary", as the title suggests, was written by Mark Twain in the form of a diary, a journal. The speaker is Eve herself, the first woman according to the Bible.

By reading it, we would get to know Eve's point of view, her thoughts and feelings. The reader only receives the information offered by her. Since Eve is telling her own story and is also using first-person pronouns - "we", as we can see in the excerpt -, we may conclude the story is told in a first-person point of view.
