Vizier (from the Arabic وزير wazīr) corresponds to the term used by several historical states in the Middle East to refer to the political advisors of a monarch, in a similar way to the valid ones or ministers.
In current texts, referring to the history of Ancient Egypt, it is called vizier (anachronistically) the maximum leader or "prime minister", whose authority was only surpassed by that of Pharaoh, assuming several of its functions by delegation.
