Answer:

x=1

Explanation:

We are given a pair of linear equation in x and y . We have to solve them for x and y using substituting method

first equation:

4x+y=0

y=-4x

Equation second :

2y+x=-7

replacing the value of y in this equation we get

2(-4x)+x=-7

-8x+x=-7

-7x=-7

dividing both sides with -7 we get

x=1

Hence we have x =1 there fore y = -4x

y=-4(1)

y=-4
