The Six Day War was fought between Israel & Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq between June 5-10, 1967 after Egypt closed a shipping lane to the Israelis.
The Israelis had previously announced that the closure of the shipping lane would be a cause for war.
The Israelis wiped out the Egyptian air force and took many strategic pieces of land.
The Arab allies negotiated a cease fire and the war ended.
