Answer:

y=2

Explanation:

Hello

we can use two points and find the equation of the line

let

P1(1,5) P2(-1,-1)

the slope is

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)\\ m=(-1-5)/(-1-1)\\m=(-6)/(-2)\\\\m=3\\

Now, with P1 and the slope-point equation find f(x)

y-y_(0)=m(x-x_(0))\\ y-5=3(x-1)\\y=3x+2

the line interceptes y-axis when x=0,the value of y-intercept is

y=3(0)+2

y=0+2

y=2, intercept

I hope it helps

have a fantastic day
