Lectin is a type of protein that can bind to cell membranes. It offers a way for molecules to stick together without getting the immune system involved, which can influence cell-cell interaction.

Cancer cells are cells that divide constantly thus forming solid tumors or flooding the blood with abnormal cells.

Similarity between both can be stated as-they both speed up the cell cycle.

And difference can be stated as- cancer cells are not density dependent and they are influenced by carcinogens. Lectins are influenced by certain food items.
