Answer:

m = 1

Explanation:

Plus -5 to both sides of the problem

5+-5+3 m=8+-5

Put together the alike terms

0+3 m=8+-5

3 m=8+-5

Put together the alike terms again

3 m = 3

Divide the sides by 3 then simplify and BAM! Answered. :P

Answer:

1

Explanation:

If 3m + 5 = 8

We can say 8 - 5 = 3m

So, 3 = 3m

So, m = 1.

1 x 3 = 3!
