This question pretty much answers itself, the value of X would be however many pounds you would buy and Y would equal the price of how many pounds you bought for 2$ a pound

The equation would look like this down below

Y=2x

X being however many pounds you are buying
Y being the price of however many pounds you bought

Hope this helps, question was kinda vague but I made the best of what information I was given
