when we replace x = 0 in the function

y = 5x² = 5 · 0 = 0

we get value of the function y = 0

when we replace x = 0 in the function

y = 5x² - 4 = 5 · 0 - 4 = - 4

we get value of the function y = - 4

It is shifted 4 units down.
