The airport make it possible for producers to distribute their products in shorter time and the airport also provide away form citizens from other states to come into Atlanta as tourists and purchase the products sold in Atlanta.

2. The Georgia Supreme Court ruled that Thompson was the official governor until a special election could be held.

Special election refers to the election that is held if the person that officially elected could not finish their full terms under some circumstances. When Talmadge died, Thompson was elected as the governor because at that time he held the position as the lieutenant governor (the next highest position.)
