Mitosis start with diploid cells and meiosis also starts with diploid cells.
The number of chromosomes in both mitosis and meiosis are diploid.
At the end, mitosis produce two diploid cells and meiosis produce four haploid cells.
At the end, the type of cells in mitosis is diploid and type of cells in meiosis is haploid.
Here in mitosis, there are diploid number of chromosomes and in meiosis, there are haploid number of chromosomes.
