Creek, Cherokee, Chickasaw, Seminole and Choctaw were known as the (5) civilized tribes due they had farming communities similar to New American communities, they were forced by the US government to sell their homelands and relocate in Oklahoma in reservations through the Indian Removal Act of 1830 without reparations; losing around 25 million acres of land.
