The answer is only student A is correct

A 60Hz electrical frequency means that the electrical wave being transmitted completes 50 sinusoidal rotations in a minute. A sinusoidal rotation can only be found in an AC environment. A DC does not have a sinusoidal wave. Electric flow in AC typically reverses itself and does not flow in one direction. In most power distribution systems, the voltage reverses itself 50 or 60 times per second.
