Answer:

(4,-5)

Explanation:

You can use substitution to substitute the answer options in for x and y or substitute an equation in to find each variable.

Substitute an equation is the traditional method and will allow you to solve without any answer options.

1. Substitute y=x - 9 into 3x+2y=2.

3x+2(x-9) = 2

3x+2x-18=2

5x-18=2

5x=20

x=4

2. Substitute x=4 into y=x-9.

y = 4-9

y=-5

(4,-5) is the solution.
