Answer:

76

Explanation:

given a quadratic equation in standard form : ax² + bx + c = 0 : a ≠ 0

then the discriminant is Δ = b² - 4ac

given 3x² - 10x = - 2 ( add 2 to both sides )

3x² - 10x + 2 = 0 ← in standard form

with a = 3, b = - 10 and c = 2

b² - 4ac = (- 10)² - (4 × 3 × 2) = 100 - 24 = 76
