Alliteration is the repetition of the same sound at the beginning of a group of words. It's important to remember here that it's the same sound, NOT the same letter. The letter C can have a hard sound as in cattle, or a soft sound as in cereal. When paired with an "h", it can have the "ch" sound as in cheese. In the quote above all the c's have the hard "c" sound.

Onomatopoeia is a word that is spelled and means the same as it sounds such as snap, crackle, pop. A metaphor is a comparison between two different things without using like or as: my pillow is a cloud.
