A number is a perfect square when the number it is squared by is a number that doesn’t include a decimal. So the square root of 5 would actually be 2.24 so it wouldn’t be a perfect square. The square root of 8 is 2.83 so it also wouldn’t be a perfect square. The square root of 36 is 6. 36 would be your perfect square. The square root of 44 is 6.63. Your final answer would be C. 36.
