The point-slope form:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

m - slope

The formula of a slope:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

We have the points (-4, 24) and (7, -53). Substitute:

m=(-53-24)/(7-(-4))=(-77)/(11)=-7

The first point is (-4, 24) → x₁ = -4 and y₁ = 24.

Substitute:

y-24=-7(x-(-4))\\\\\boxed{y+(-24)=-7(x+4)}
