So generally you'll have a linear equation in the form of slope-intercept which looks like: y=mx+b, where m is the slope, and b is the y-intercept. the y-intercept, is the value of y, when x=0, which is going to be the constant b, because mx will be 0, because m * 0 = 0. m is the slope because as x increases by 1, the y-value increases by m, which in definition is the slope, how much a function increases as x increases by 1. So if you look at the table when x goes from -1 to 0, the y value goes from 0 to 3 or an increase in 3, and the same happens when x goes from 0 to 1. So the slope is 3, and the y-intercept as mentioned before is the value of y when x=0, which in this case is 3, which can be determined by looking at the table (look at y when x=0, it's 3). So this gives you the formula y=3x+3
