Answer:

C) Unshielded electrical devices

Step-by-step explanation:

Just passed my S/P2 Exam

Paint should be stored and mixed in an OSHA-approved room. Make sure the room has adequate ventilation to pull harmful solvent vapors out. Evaporating solvent can build up and explode. Breathable air quality in this room can be dangerous as well from solvent build up, especially if cans and containers not in use are left uncapped on the mix bench.

Ventilation hoods over the mixing bench and ventilating fans can be used to keep air quality at a high level. Class I, Division 1 (explosive) electrical appliances, such as hoods, fans and heaters are the only approved electrical devices for paint mixing rooms.

Keep unshielded electrical devices such as lights, switches, telephones, computers and especially electric motors, such as those used in electric drills, out of the mixing room.

Keep fire extinguishers both in the mixing room and nearby. Paint fire can be extremely difficult to put out. See OSHA for other mixing room recommendations.
