Divide the quarts of white paint by the quarts of red paint:

20 / 4 = 5

25 / 5 = 5

35 / 7 = 5

40 / 8 = 5

All the answers are 5.

Because the quarts of white paint is the higher number the ratio would be 1 quart of red to 5 quarts of white, which would be written as 1:5.

The answer is: It is 1:5
