6x+9y+14
5x+1x=6x
And 9y
And 12+2=14
You can only combine terms with like variables.

The final would be
6X+9Y+14
How?
You combine similar numbers. You can't combine 5X with 2 but you can combine 5X with X
also just the letter X means it is a one.
