3x + y = 19

Find the Slope:

4 - 1 / 5 - 6 = m

3/-1 = m

-3 = m

Find b: (use one of the points given and plug into y = mx + b)

1 = 6 (-3) + b

1 = -18 + b

19 = b

Plug the m and b you just found into y = mx + b

y = -3x + 19

Change to standard form (Ax + By = C)

3x + y = 19
