We can make proportions

DE DF

10 5x+2

Using cross products

5 (5x+2) = 10*11

Distribute the 5

25x+10 = 110

Subtract 10 from each side

25x+10-10 = 110-10

25x = 100

Divide by 25

25x/25 = 100/25

x = 4
