Answer:

Least common denominator is (y+7)(y-7)(y-1).

Explanation:

In these fractions the given denominators are (y²-49) and (y²+6y-7)

And we have to find Least common denominator.

So we do the factors of (y²-49) first.

(y²-49) = (y-7)(y+7) From the formula a²-b²= (a-b)(a+b)

Now we do the factors of (y²+6y-7).

y²+6y -7 = y²+7y-y-7

⇒y(y+7) -1(y+7)

(y+7)(y-1)

So the least common denominator will be (y+7)(y-1)(y-7).
