Why do you think it is important for young people to have LGBT role models?

I think it's important for young people to have LGBT+ role models so they grow up learning that it's okay and normal to simply be who you are. In a world where being LGBT+ was and still is so negatively stereotyped and was even (and still is to my knowledge) illegal in a lot of places, it is extremely important for young people to be able to normalize it within themselves and know that it's okay and valid whatever you may be.

I hope this helps in some way haha

Well for one, it’s 2019 which means you can basically be anything you want to be and anything you were born to be. I’d say having LGBT role models is a vital key to learning how to express yourself and be who you were meant to be, openly. It’s not easy coming out, let alone accepting yourself and loving yourself. Those are all signs of strength and self love. ~My opinion.
