Is the sequence 7, 28, 112, 448, . . . arithmetic or geometric?

Explanation:

You can identify a sequence based off of how the next term appears

if it is subtracting/adding you will get a common difference

if it is dividing/multiplying you will get a common ratio

When you look at the change between 7 and 28 it is multiplied by 4

this can be applied onward:

28 x 4 = 112

112 x 4 = 448 etc;
