2. You can know it the rectangle 1 and 3 are similar by the following proportions:


(l_1)/(l_3)=(w_1)/(w_3)

Where
l_1 is the lenght of the rectangle 1,
l_2 is the lenght of the rectangle 2,
w_1 is the width of the rectangle 1 and
w_2 is the width of the rectangle 2.

3. Subtitute values:


(11m)/(14m)=(2.2m)/(2.8m)


0.78=0.78

4. Then, the rectangle 1 and 3 are similar.
