Which equation is represented on the graph?

y = x + 2
y = 3x
y=x−1
y = x

The figure shows a coordinate graph. The x-axis extends from 0 to 10. The y-axis extends from 0 to 10. A ray is drawn through points (0, 0), (2, 2), (4, 4), (6, 6), (8, 8), and (10, 10).

[ Answer ]

\boxed{Y \ = \ X \ + \ 2}

[ Explanation ]

Y = X + 2 is saying that Y, is the X dot + 2.

When the X dot is on 0, we have to add 2 to get to where the Y dot is. X (0) + 2 = 2. That is where the Y dot is.

X (2) + 2 = 4. 4 is where the Y dot is,

Once you keep adding the X dots to 2, you will get the Y dots. That is why the equation is Y = X + 2. In order to get to Y, you need to add 2 to the X dot.
