I need help with a math problem that I don't know how to put onto my phone. so the problem is something about turning fractions into the simplest form. if you go to spectrum math on the internet search up spectrum math lesson 6.7 for 8th grade. I really need help

Answer:

It is the equivalent fraction in which the numerator and denominator have no factor in common [other than 1]. and You find the greatest common factor of the numerator and the denominator and then divide each of them by this greatest common factor. Dividing both numbers by the same factor yields an equivalent fraction.

an example for you is :

90/150 = 9/15 (dividing by 10)


9/15 = 3/5 (dividing by 3)


So 90/150 in its simplest form is 3/5

the greatest common factor is a set of whole numbers is the largest positive integer that divides evenly into all numbers with zero remainder.

an example, for the set of numbers 18, 30 and 42 the GCF = 6.
