What are the similarities and differences between "artificial flavors" and "natural flavors? Why does Schlosser explain these two terms in such detail?

similarities : they both are used to flavor something, they are put into things that need a certain kind of flavor to make it what it's supposed to be.

Differences : artificial is made with chemicals, natural is made with organic materials
