Angle 1 and Angle 2 are supplementary angles. M angle 1=x-19, and M angle 2=x+99. Find the measures of each angle.

Answer:

31° and 149°

Explanation:

Supplementary angles sum to 180°, hence

x - 19 + x + 99 = 180

2x + 80 = 180 ( subtract 80 from both sides )

2x = 100 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 50

angle 1 = x - 19 = 50 - 19 = 31°

angle 2 = x + 99 = 50 + 99 = 149°
