It is true. In Sense and Sensibility, by Jane Austen, the author describes Mrs. Palmer as a sweet lady, who is a little giggly and silly sometimes, but a nice person. On the other hand, Austen describes her husband as a person with bad social behavior, but who really gets along with his wife and care for her, although he might not show this in public.
