In triangle ABC

AB = hypotenuse = Net force = R

Using Pythagorean theorem


AB=\sqrt{AC^(2)+BC^(2)}


R=\sqrt{10^(2)+10^(2)}

R = 14.1 N

m = mass of the block = 2.0 kg

a = acceleration of the block = ?

Magnitude of the acceleration is given as


a=(R)/(m)\\


a=(14.1)/(2)\\

a = 7.05 m/s²
