40÷31 = 1.29 (cans per day)

1.29 × 6 (days) = 7.7 which you have to round to 8

Anwser : 8 cans of dog food

Answer:

Hao will need 8 cans of dog food.

Explanation:

Hao's dog ate 40 cans of dog food in 31 days, meaning that he ate (40/31) cans per day, or around 1.29 cans per day. If we multiply this by six, we can see that Hao's dog will eat:

(1.29 cans per day)(6 days) = 7.74 cans of dog food in that time,

meaning that Hao will have to purchase 8 cans of dog food to make sure his puppy won't go hungry!

Hope this helps!
