Identify the sentence without a verb shift. He will go to the airport to leave immediately. He will have gone to the airport, then he will fly away. The airport is closed due to snow, so he will leave. The airport is closed and travelers should make other plans.

The correct answer is the one that reads “He will go to the airport to leave immediately.”. This sentence contains only one verb tense which is future tense formed with “will” plus the infinitive without to. This sentence also contains a prepositional phrase functioning as an adverbial which is “to leave immediately”, which could be mistakenly taken as a verb shift but it is not. The other options are incorrect, since they present shifts from future perfect tense and simple future tense/simple present tense and simple future tense.
