The length of a rectangle are represented by consecutive even integers. If the perimeter is 60, find the dimensions

Length = 24 and width = 6.

Explanation:

2L + 2W = 60 where L = length and W = width.

The length must be in the 20's to make a perimeter of 60, as there's no number in the 10's or 30's that has 2 consecutive even integers and 40 something is impossible.

The only length which fits the given conditions is 24.

Then the width would be (60 - 2(24)) / 2 = (60 - 48) / 2

= 6.

That's the answer.
