In Africa,
French colonies fought German colonies
.
French colonies Algeria,Morocco and Tunisia provided France with 1000s of troops.
Tunisia alone provided
60,000
troops to France.
The French Foreign Legion
is a well known branch of the French military composed of foreign troops.
The Kings African Rifles ( KAR )
arranged 30,000 men from Africa to fight in the World War 1.
