Of the 50 tables in a restaurant, 40% seat 2 people. The remaining tables seat 4 people. How many seats are there in the restaurant?

I think it's 120 seats because:

40%×2=80
10%×4=40
80+40=120 seats

Answer:

160 tables

Explanation:

First you would want to find the 40% of the total 50 tables (.4 * 50) to get 20. If there are 50 total tables, then you know the remaining tables are 30. We can multiply the seats at the 20 tables by 2 to get 40. Then, multiply 4 by the 30 remaining tables to get a product of 120. If we add 120 and 40, we get 160 seats.

Hope I helped, and good luck!
