Dear Dad,
I hope you are having a a great week. I wanted to write to discuss my education. I think we both feel that having a good education is the foundation to having a successful life. It will allow me to get a better job and support you and mom as well as my own family,
Unfortunately, the commitment of time it takes for me to do well means that I can't have a part time job. I am doing the best I can to balance the demands of school and life but having a job is definitely challenging on top of that.
I want to make sure that I am getting the most out of my education. I truly love learning and I can promise you I am taking ful advantage of all of the great resources this school offers.
So I am hoping that you would consider paying for my education. I truly appreciate everything you have done for me throughout my life and I know this is a big ask, but I hope you will consider it. I would be happy to pay you back what I can over the next several years.
