$-2(7-4x)=(1)/(2)(4+16x)\qquad\text{use distributive property}\\\\(-2)(7)+(-2)(-4x)=\left((1)/(2)\right)(4)+\left((1)/(2)\right)(16x)\\\\-14+8x=2+8x\qquad\text{subtract 8x from both sides}\\\\-14=2\qquad FALSE!!!\\\\Answer:\ \boxed{no\ solution}$
