Read these lines from the poem. My home is ’mid the mountain rocks The desert my domain. I plant no herbs nor pleasant fruits, I toil not for my cheer; The desert yields me juicy roots, And herds of bounding deer. What do these lines reveal about the Bushman's viewpoint? He finds little joy in his surroundings. He shies away from physical labor. He appreciates the abundance of nature. He prefers to have limited contact with others.

The lines from the poem presented are written by the poet and Thomas Pringle who was born in Roxburghshire in Scotland in 1789.

Besides, he is most strongly linked to South African poetry after spending some years in the country and also was one of the first English writers to describe the region and the people who lived there. A “Bushman” is a dutch term for natives living in the wilderness. According to the Bushman's viewpoint, these lines reveal that he shies away from physical labor.
