Nina saves 40% of her summer job earnings for college. This summer, she earned $200 more than last summer, and she saved $900. Write and solve an equation to find her earnings last summer.

Answer:

(900 ÷ 4) x 10 -200 = 2050 And this will equal last Summer's earnings

Explanation:

So we know that 900$ is equal to 40% and that we can simplify this

900 ÷ 4 = 225

40% ÷ 4 = 10%

Therefore:

225 = 10% and

2250 = 100% of earnings
