Use the Square of Difference: (a - b)^2 = a^2 - 2ab + b^2

(8x)^2 - 2 × 8x × 0.3y + (0.3y)^2

Use the Multiplication Distributive Property method: (xy)^a = x^ay^a

8^2x^2 - 2 × 8x × 0.3y + (0.3y)^2

Simplify 8^2 to 64

64x^2 - 2 × 8x × 0.3y + (0.3y)^2

Use the Multiplication Distributive Property: (xy)^a = x^ay^a

64x^2 - 2 × 8x × 0.3y + 0.3^2y^2

Simplify 0.3^2 to 0.09

64x^2 - 2 × 8x × 0.3y + 0.09y^2

Simplify 2 × 8x × 0.3y to (4.8)xy

64x^2 - 4.8xy + 0.09y^2
