First we need to find the Y intercept (b) and the slope(m).

To find the Y intercept, look and find where the line crosses the Y axis. (the line going up and down). It does at 1/2

To find the slope, take 2 points and plug them into the slope formula (y2-y1/x2-x1) Im using the points (-5,2) and (5,-1). once these are plugged into the formula youre given: -1-2/5-(-5) which equals -3/10.

Now the formula for slope intercept is y=mx+b. so now you just plug in the numbers. y=-3/10x+1/2
