Find the Point B on line AC such that the ratio of AB to BC is 1:1.

Note: Point A is (-6,2) and Point B is (3,-8).

Explanation:

To find point C, we need to note that the value of the B coordinates will be the average of the A and C coordinates. So, we can add them together and take the average and set it equal to B.

To start, just focus on the x coordinates of all 3.

(Ax + Cx)/2 = Bx

(-6 + Cx)/2 = 3

-6 + Cx = 6

Cx = 12

Now we can do the same for y coordinates.

(Ay + Cy)/2 = By

(2 + Cy)/2 = -8

2 + Cy = -16

Cy = -18
